I liked it a lot. When I caught a fish, I made it swim around the Finder and it picked it up. I believe this really works best when you are using the typical worm on the hook.
We use it to evaluate swim courses for triathlons. We need to identify depth and possible obstacles. It works well for both.
It does exactly what it says it does and is easy to use and understand. Paid the extra for overnight shipping, which didn't work out. Norcross Hawkeye FF3355P Fish FinderOrdered this a couple of weeks ago to use on our new 10 foot Bass Boat which we'd purchased recently. The only thing we would change if we could is to make it possible to save the settings so that you wouldn't have to reset it everytime you turn it off and on. At least our shipping cost was refunded although we missed using the fish finder that weekend, we finally got to take it out on a test spin last week. Overall we are very pleased with the Hawkeye. Other than that its a great product for the price and we would highly recommend it as both as a fish finder and a depth finder. Compact, easy to use and works great.
Unit works well, easy to use, very portable. I like this better than my full size unit.
Bought it as a gift for my dad, who does not have a boat, he loves it
